“I learned the value of living and leading with integrity. I gained an understanding that one does not need to hold a title to lead, but by Living with Purpose one can lead by example and gain followers in unexpected places and ways. Being a leader is not just a definition; it is a lifestyle.”
--Hillary Herr, Gamma Eta, LeaderShape Scholarship Recipient
After attending the LeaderShape Institute, a week-long educational experience designed to give young adults the means to become extraordinary leaders, Hillary is a different person and a better leader. The experience equipped her with the knowledge to change the world by working toward a vision that is grounded in her deepest values; a skill Hillary will use for the rest of her life.
Thanks to donations made by chapters, clubs and alumnae to the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, Hillary was just one of the sisters provided the opportunity to attend LeaderShape. Her transformational experience not only impacts her life but the communities in which she will serve, and she will always have Alpha Gamma Delta to credit for her leadership success.

The walk is September 28,2013
I'm writing to let you know that I'll be participating in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes on September 28, 2013. I hope that you’ll consider joining me. We have set up a team for the Nashville Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta. Of course, this team is also open to any family members who would like to join us either to walk or to donate money.
Taking part in the Walk is a great experience. Not only do you get the satisfaction of helping JDRF make a difference in the lives of people with type 1 diabetes (T1D) – you'll also have FUN and get a good workout too! If you're unable to join us for the walk on September 28th, we hope you will be willing to make a small donation toward our fundraising efforts.
The money we raise will go to cure, treat and prevent T1D. I need your support, so please do whatever you can – join my team and fundraise, or make a donation on my behalf. Please visit our Team Page for more information.
Thank you so much for however you choose to support me. I hope to see you at the Walk!
Charity Law, Captain
